Principal's Message

Welcome to Lake Elementary!

At Lake Elementary, we are a building that thrives on collaboration, high standards, and innovation. We believe every child deserves to be challenged, supported, and given opportunities to discover what they are capable of. Our goal is to meet students where they are, understand what they need, and help them grow from there.

Through our STEAM programs and innovative learning experiences, we work to provide students with opportunities to think creatively, solve problems, collaborate with others, and apply their learning in meaningful ways. We want our students to be more than successful students. We want them to become confident thinkers, problem-solvers, and lifelong learners.

Our guiding belief is simple:

Every Child. Every Minute. Every Day.

We know that preparing students for success is not something we can do alone. Home and school are a team. When teachers, families, and students work together, we create the strongest possible foundation for learning and growth. We value our families as partners and encourage open communication, shared expectations, and a commitment to helping every child reach their potential.

One area where this partnership is especially important is early literacy. Learning to read is one of the most important foundations we can provide for future academic success. At school, we are committed to building strong literacy skills, developing confident readers, and providing students with the instruction and support they need.

Families can make an incredible difference as well. If you can find time to read with your child, read to your child, or simply foster a love of reading, it matters. It doesn't have to look the same in every home. Read a chapter book, a comic book, a magazine, a recipe, a graphic novel, or something your child simply enjoys. The goal is to help children see reading as something meaningful—not just something they have to do for school.

When we work together to build that love of reading, we are laying an important foundation for future learning success.

At Lake Elementary, we are proud of our students, our staff, and the families who make our school community so special. We will continue to challenge ourselves, try new ideas, collaborate, and look for ways to better serve our students.

Thank you for trusting us with your children and for being an important part of our school community.

Every Child. Every Minute. Every Day.
